I received a notification to submit a COI Disclosure Form but I am not an Investigator.
The COI Disclosure Form is not just for Investigators. All full-time and part-time compensated employees are required to submit a COI Disclosure Form.

I do not have any conflicts of interest.  Do I still need to submit a COI Disclosure Form?
The University’s COI Policy requires all full-time and part-time compensated employees and all investigators, regardless of title or position, to submit a COI Disclosure Form to report any and all Leadership Roles, Secondary Commitments and Financial Interests that reasonably appear to be related to your professional responsibilities on behalf of the University. If you do not have any relationships to report, you still are required to submit the COI Disclosure Form.

I am an external collaborator, i.e., I am not an employee of Tulane but am involved in a Tulane research project and need to complete the Tulane COI Disclosure Form. Where can I do so?
Please complete the form at coi.tulane.edu.

I am a Medical Resident or Student but must complete a COI Disclosure Form because I am involved in research. Where can I do so?
Please complete the form at coi.tulane.edu.

Where can I find my previous years’ COI Disclosure Forms?
You can view your Disclosure Form (and any updates to that Form) from 2024 or prior years (except 2022) at coi.tulane.edu. If you completed a 2022 COI Disclosure Form (and any updates to that Form) in Cayuse, you can access that Form (and related ones) here. After you log into Cayuse using your Tulane credentials, click on the drop-down arrow next to your name in the top right-hand corner of the screen, go to My Profile, click on COI Disclosures on the left-hand side of the screen, then select the 2022 COI Disclosure Form to view.

I am not sure whether I need to disclose something.
Please see the definitions of Conflict of Interest, Conflict of Commitment, Secondary Commitment, Financial Interest, Leadership Role, and/or Research Financial Interest and Research Leadership Role, in the Glossary or in the COI Policy. Links to the Glossary and the COI Policy are at coi.tulane.edu. If you would still like assistance after that, please email coi@tulane.edu.

I am not sure what [a word used in the form] means.
Please see the Glossary or the definitions in the COI Policy. Links to the Glossary and the COI Policy are at coi.tulane.edu. If you would still like assistance after that, please email coi@tulane.edu.

What happens to my COI Disclosure Form after I have submitted it?
It is routed for review to your Supervisor of record in the University’s HR system, and then to the COI Administrator for review as required by the University’s COI Policy.

I really need someone to walk me through completing this form.
You can email coi@tulane.edu or call (504) 247-1286 and the support staff to the COI Committee will be glad to help you. Your patience will be greatly appreciated.
