Compliance Partners

Ethical conduct and compliance with applicable laws and regulations is the responsibility and endeavor of the entire Tulane community.  The success of Tulane's Compliance & Ethics Program is therefore dependent on the Program’s Compliance Partners.  Compliance Partners are University compliance leaders and subject matter experts from a wide array of University Departments and Offices.  They contribute to the ongoing development of the Program through engagement, collaboration, and shared commitment to compliance and ethical conduct.

Compliance Partners constitute the Compliance Partners Committee.  The Compliance Partners Committee broadens the reach of the Program by increasing Program awareness, fostering a culture of compliance and ethics, and encouraging proactive compliance risk identification.

Compliance Partner Roles
  • Identifying and assessing potential compliance risks
  • Creating and updating policies to reflect changing regulatory requirements
  • Preparing and submitting reports in compliance with applicable regulations
  • Trusted resource for advice and guidance in specific compliance areas
  • Responding to questions on University policies and practices
  • Facilitating job training inclusive of compliance and ethical conduct
 
Compliance Partner Responsibilities
  • Staying up-to-date with regulatory changes, laws, governmental actions, compliance best practices, and University policies
  • Regularly communicating with University constituents on topics of compliance and ethical conduct
  • Working collaboratively with University leaders and other departments to ensure that compliance and ethics are integrated into daily operations
  • Demonstrating commitment to compliance and ethics through training and professional development
  • Building a culture of compliance and ethics that reflects the University’s core values
